This blog is to show my training for the Land's End to John O'Groat's cycle ride to raise money for Batten's Disease research.

Please see www.justgiving.com/supportharrymillsop to donate to this worthwhile cause and why I'm doing this ride.

Been a good day today. Sun, lighter winds, no rain. Had a good ride to kendal where we stopped for some refreshments before the climb up shap fell and through the lake district.

Had lunch in penrith. A great cafe, just opened. Long may it stay so. Worth a trip if you're in the area (or doing land's end to John O'Groat's)- called Five in the market square.

Shortly after this we passed the Scottish border at gretna then headed on towards Lockerbie. The last 16 miles were quite tough and into a headwind. Tomorrows forecast is showers and a head wind all day. Could be a tough day....
